Apprenticeship - Warehouse Operative with Bell Electrical
at Bell Electrical in West Midlands
An apprenticeship for 16-18 year olds with training provided by ESTL.
When you join our team you will contribute to the effective running of the warehouse to ensure we provide the best service possible to our customers. As an individual you must be team spirited, positive disposition, flexible, physically fit, technically aware and be numerically accurate. You must possess interpersonal and literacy skills. You should be self motivating and able to work using own initiative.
Main Job Tasks:
? To move freight to the correct area of the Warehouse and place within the designated area.
? To scan all parcels as instructed in line with Company procedure.
? To download scanned information as per procedure.
? Check Warehouse area for damaged goods and remove to the appropriate area within the hold bay.
? Ensure that returned parcels are correctly identified within the appropriate holding bay.
? Place appropriate labels on to parcels.
? Ensure that all high value goods are placed within the Security high value cage.
? Good to be returned to be dealt within the company agreed time frame.
? Remove empty cages to the designated holding area.
? Assist in unloading vehicles as required.
Wage: ?95 per week.
Hours: 9am-5pm (35 hours) with one day release for training.
Skills required: Interpersonal skills, literacy skills, Numerically Accurate.
Qualifications required: Maths and English GCSE's A - E or equivalent.
Personal Qualities: Positive disposition, physically fit, team spirited, flexible, technically aware and self motivated.
Training on the Apprenticeships Programme for 16 to 18 year olds is a priority and fully-funded by Government. Training for Apprenticeships for 19 to 24 year olds is part funded, with employers expected to make a contribution. Funding for apprentices aged 25 is very limited and employers are expected to make a part or full contribution.
Please note that you will not be eligible for this job unless you are 16, 17 or 18 years of age.
