UH Ventures (UHV) is a joint enterprise between the University of Hertfordshire and
Exemplas Holdings. The University has expertise in the research and delivery of
academic qualifications and over 10 years’ experience of delivery in the health sector
at all vocational levels. Exemplas has extensive experience of working with
employers to identify learning needs and deliver training in thr workplace. UH
Ventures is part of the UH Group of Companies. What we do
We deliver high quality, employer-driven training which will add value to both the
individual and the organisation. We are uniquely positioned to support longer term
development options for your learners, and offer single-sourced solutions from key
skills (English and maths), NVQs and Apprenticeships through to Foundation
Degrees and Masters’ Programmes.
A contemporary learning approach
Because UHV has the advantage of combining an academic perspective with an
employer-focused perspective, we believe this gives us an advantage over many of
our competitors. In short, we can deliver learning which has the rigour associated
with a University, expereinced assessment and verification alongside the flexibility
required by an employer operating in a demanding environment.
Delivering your Apprentices

We deliver Apprenticeship and Advanced Apprenticeship Programmes in a range of
areas including Health, Care, Automotive Sales as well as generic apprenticeships in
Business Administration, Management and Customer Service that cut across all
sectors.

How we deliver
We have a delivery model which combines different learning approaches to respond
to individual learning styles and ensure a complete package of support. A timetable
of structured interventions e.g observations and workshops combined with the more
informal ongoing support of mentoring and online resources creates an integrated
approach with the job role and timely completion of the programme.

Just a taster
Taster workshops are available for all Apprenticeship programmes. The workshops
will be based on the level of the Apprenticeship and the employer choice of any
additional units.
Where do you fit in?
Success in the Apprenticeship Programme can be largely attributed to the
effectiveness of the employer and/or line manager, the assessor and the learner. All
three need to ‘paly their part’ throughout the process and we will agree clear
guidelines about the roles and responsibilities of each party.

How long does it all take?
This is dependent on the type of Apprenticeship and the capabilities of the learner.
An apprenticeship can take between 4 and 15 months.
Continuing Professional Development and Apprenticeships
We take an holistic approach t learning and development and to building a
partnership with employers. Because of the breadth of expertise at UH Ventures, career pathways to other qualifications such as management, foundation degrees or
even MBAs are possible!
