Our internationally renowned client in Motherwell has an urgent requirement for a Time – Served Maintenance Electrician (16th Edition) to commence an initial contract position leading to permanent employment.

Main purpose of the position is to carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance and repair of Plant, Equipment and Services within all areas of our clients Facility.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the electronic and electrical aspects of:- CNC machine tools, Manual Machines, Welding Equipment, Overhead Cranes, 415/240/110 distribution systems, installation and testing, Portable Appliance Testing.

You will ensure up-time measures for Plant & Equipment are met by ensuring timely and efficient resolution of plant issues.

You will have served a recognised apprenticeship and have over 3 years post apprenticeship experience preferably within a heavy engineering/manufacturing environment. HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred, 16th Edition IEE qualified.

You will have a basic working knowledge of mechanical systems, good manual dexterity and an ability to work at heights, good knowledge of CNC controls e.g. Siemens, Fanuc etc.

Our client operate a shift system for which a shift premium applies, once you have gain suitable facility knowledge you will commence on a weekend working rota. There is plenty of overtime available if required.

This is a unique and exciting maintenance opportunity to work client-direct for one of London’s leading institution’s, a gallery based in Central London that is internationally renowned for its dealings. Working within an internal maintenance team, you will be responsible for all gallery electrics such as lighting, sound and audio visual equipment. You will be responsible for setting up for new events and meetings and maintaining the lighting and AV of existing displays. You will be required to work days, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm.

The successful candidate will be apprenticeship trained with electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds Electrical Installations. Experience in a similar role is essential, ideally in a client-direct role such as theatres or galleries. You should also have direct experience of lighting and audio visual systems and experience of telephone systems is desirable.

Package will include:

Package Details:

- Salary: ?20000 to ?30000 (Dependent on Qualifications and Experience)

Requirements

Experience training electricians in the trade will be a distinct advantage.

The Training

The training establishment will pay for the successful Electrician or experienced Electrical Installation/Electrician training Lecturer to achieve recognised teaching certificates and NVQ Assessor Awards (A1). Further Training to become an Internal Verifier may be offered if necessary (V1). This training will be done during your working hours and you will be given remission from your normal duties to complete these qualifications. It is beneficial if you are working towards or hold these already.
